Project Description:
This project will focus on designing a label or set of labels for a special Vintner Reserve series for the winery client you have chosen. This will be an opportunity to extend an existing brand with a special label or series of labels. The label(s) will keep the spirit of the brand but push it in a new direction. Special attention will be placed on the design and the use of paper surface(texture, coatings, opacity, etc.) and color to enhance your design.

The Illustrations:
These illustrations are meant to embody a more colorful use of displaying the flavors of wine type. 14 Hands is inspired by the unbridled spirit of the wild horses that once freely roamed eastern Washington and the Columbia River Valley. Washington’s wild horses have become living symbols of the adventurous nature of the Wild West. With 14 Hands symbol in mind, this design takes an illustrative route into the representation of horses and wine.
